André 3000 New Blue Sun LIVE is the live performance and reinterpretation of the critically acclaimed 2023 studio album New Blue Sun by American musician André 3000. André 3000 will perform alongside a stellar band comprised of percussionist and multi-instrumentalist Carlos Niño, Surya Botofasina on keyboards and Deantoni Parks on synthesiser and drums. These Sydney-exclusive performances will be immersive and transcendent.

André 3000 is an American musician, actor and performer who revolutionised hip-hop as one half of the genre-bending act Outkast. Their music, created with André’s collaborator Big Boi, has sold millions of albums across the globe and saw them headline festivals such as Coachella and Australia’s Splendour in the Grass. In 2023 André 3000 released his first new solo music project in 17 years with the uplifting, drifting and powerful album New Blue Sun. The album signalled a pivotal shift in his artistic journey, as he sought out new realms of musical expression. Embracing an array of genres including new age, jazz and ambient, André 3000 has created a deep listening experience that primarily uses various flutes – ranging from contrabass and bamboo to Mayan and digital – as its driving melodic force.

This special opportunity to see one of the world’s most prolific and original artists in the Art Gallery’s spectacular Tank space is not to be missed.
